Yamagiwa 在1923年成立於日本東京。90 多年來，Yamagiwa致力於精品傢俱、高級燈飾、居家用品、電子與視聽設備等之引進與銷售至日本市場。以義大利、德國與與北歐的頂尖設計師或知名大廠之頂級精品為主，在東京、名古屋與大阪的商店、門市以及其他遍佈日本各地的分公司都建立了摩登時尚的情境展示空間。

1954年Yamagiwa正式進入精品燈飾之設計製造領域，為日本照明設計的先驅。1960年代開始，Yamagiwa與許多世界知名的建築師、燈俱設計者以及眾多專業工程技術研究人員共同研發生產眾多當代設計主流概念的燈具，還共同規劃如：公共空間、商業空間、辦公環境、居家空間...等照明計畫。義大利公司協會為表揚Yamagiwa卓越的創新與設計能力，於2004年授與AltagammaInternational Honorary Council (Altagamma國際榮譽協會)之會員資格。
